A Spy Like Me and Heifers for Free

Angela and I are back from our respective vacations, both of which ended up being in roughly the same place, funnily enough. We each had a great time with our families and are ready to get back to work. Which is good, ‘cause we’ve got a lot going on, what with The Emotion Thesaurus launching just ONE WEEK FROM TODAY. Whew! But first, and more imminently...Laura Pauling's book release!

******
In celebration of the official release of A Spy Like Me, Laura Pauling is hosting a three-week blog series: A Spies, Murder and Mystery Marathon. Woot! Woot!

Authors galore, guest posts and book giveaways almost every day! Gemma Halliday, Cindy M. Hogan, Elizabeth Spann Craig,
Nova Ren Suma, Elisa Ludwig, and Anne R. Allen....Just to name a few!

And here's why she's celebrating...

Stripping your date down to his underwear has never been so dangerous. After dodging bullets on a first date, Savvy must sneak, deceive and spy to save her family and friends and figure out if Malcolm is one of the bad guys before she completely falls for him.

Amazon ~ Barnes & Noble ~ Smashwords

Head on over to Laura’s blog for the start of the Spies, Murder and Mystery Marathon. You won’t want to miss this sizzling series as we head into summer. Stock up on some great thrilling reads! If you dare…

Yeehaw! We are so excited for Laura. I read a preview copy of A Spy Like Me and absolutely loved it (check out my review here). Seeing Laura kick off her book launch has gotten us all jazzed for ours, so I thought I’d share a little more info.

Ange and I have been blessed in so many ways along our writing paths that we’ve decided to return the favor by donating to charity a portion of the proceeds from each of our books that we sell. After a happy little shopping trip perusing the different organizations out there, we’ve decided that The Emotion Thesaurus will be supporting...

We love this organization because it addresses world hunger in a sensible and practical fashion. When you donate, you’re actually giving a gift of livestock--pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, cows--to a family in need, along with the proper training required to utilize and care for these animals. Instead of bestowing a one-time gift of food, this organization teaches families how to care for their animals and themselves, with the understanding that each family will one day pass on the gift of offspring to another family in need. So if you choose to purchase a copy of The Emotion Thesaurus, not only will be you be receiving a gift for you; you’ll also be giving a gift to someone else.

Laura is a smart and talented writer--so happy to see her book release into the world.

And hurray for Heifers! Helping others is something Becca and I are passionate about and so the only tough part of this equation was figuring out which organization to send our funds to. :) Thanks in advance to all of you for helping us make this a reality!

I'm so looking forward to The Emotion Thesaurus release! Such an awesome idea with donating a part of your earnings to those in need. A few of my friends have done the same (with different charities), and I admire such action.

I would like to check out Laura's Marathon too, just need to find a link to her website :-)

I love this group! My daughter's high school NaNoWriMo group raised enough money at a nickel per page of writing to buy Heifer International a yak. Great choice of recipient!
