Speaking of happy-go-lucky, I skipped over to Laura Pauling's blog today to celebrate her book launch and share my thoughts on Taking the Mystery out of Editing Those Pesky Subplots. Or, if you prefer: Biscuits and Subplots and Cake, Oh My! Every good spy needs an alias, so I figured my post should have one, too. Even though it has nothing to do with spies. And very little to do with cake.
Regardless, if you've got a sec, please stop by and congratulate Laura on her new release!

Ha! My daughter is going through a phase where she doesn't like her picture taken.
Loved your post on Laura's blog.
My son's the same. He's perfected the withering look for photos.
I'm off to check out the post. :D
On my way ...
I laughed at your Disney story, Becca. That no smile, sometimes scowling stage is kind of funny in it's own way--at least to someone who is not the parent trying to squeeze out a smile for at least one photo.
Thanks for the heads up on Laura's launch. I'm on my way over there.
How nice you got to go to Disneyland, and happy belated birthday to your nonsmiling daughter! :) Congrats to Laura on her book launch too!
Ugh. Kids and smiles. What is it with certain ages?
Stopped by.
My husband never smiles in pictures either. He's like the mafia or something.
hi miss becca! hooray for miss laura on her book launch. for me i dont much like getting my picture took. but ill smile if you bribe me with a peanutbutter cup or a hotwheels. ha ha.
...hugs from lenny
Just sent her some congrats love. Awesome!!
I didn't get any smiles during the 5 years of braces from my daughter. It was so nice when the smile reappeared, AND with really straight teeth.
Best wishes to Laura! Will hop over to her place.
Happy weekend!
So funny! It always amazes me how my daughter went from loving to have her picture taken to becoming as agile as a ninja and avoiding the camera.
Have a great weekend!
My daughter loves to get her picture takes… and not to mention, she take about a thousand pictures of herself every day.
Ah, I went through a no-smile phase. And we took a picture of my son in his HS cap and gown in which he's positively scowling.
It's so weird, the not smiling. Of all the things I thought my children would give me fits over, I never considered this. Who doesn't want to smile???
Kids.
*shakes head*
Hi Becca, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
