Hi everyone! Today Becca and I are sharing a guest post on what makes a successful critique partnership over at Jessica Subject's Mark of the Stars.
The Beckster and I have been through thick and thin now for 7 YEARS. Seriously y'all, she should get a prize or something, putting up with me for so long! So what have we learned in that time? What 4 CRITICAL ELEMENTS are needed for a partnership like ours to thrive and succeed? Follow this LINK and find out!
And if you want to read the crazy story of how Becca and I met in person for the first time, you can find it right here on our blog!
Happy Monday! Have a great writing week.

LOL I actually read the bit on when you and Becca met for the first time just the other day and laughed because I could identify with the fear that you wouldn't find each other (Disney is HUGE). So glad you two have each other for support, motivation and encouragement:)
On my way!
7 years!?? Magical. :)
*rushes off to check it out*
Great post and love the story of how you met! Yes, it was fate :)

I love that you made critique partners aliens. What are you saying?
How wonderful to have someone so true to friendship as well as passion in writing. That's very rare. I'm so happy for you guys!

Can Alex save Winter from the darkness that hunts her?
YA Paranormal Romance, Darkspell coming fall of 2011!
I love the title. The other woman :) I don't have an "other" yet. But I've just started out in a group. Looking forward to it :)
This is so wonderful and inspiring. Writing pals are the greatest. I'm off to check out the links. Thank you for this. Hope you're having a great writing week, too!
Theresa, it's because Mark of the Stars uses these aliens as a review tool for books, and I absolutely love it. I figured I'd steal it to link to her blog, lol!
Loved the post on how you two met "for reals" :)
Off to learn the critique secrets...
I think it's Disney Magic that you two were able to find each other among the Magic Kingdom crowds. Great points on crit partners. Putting your writing out there for scrutiny is like asking someone if your baby is ugly or cute. Hopefully my baby at least has nice eyes.
Congrats on such a good partnership.
